Job Description:
This position will serve as an experienced IT Specialist supporting the U.S. Navy’s OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) in Singapore at the Sembawang Naval Base.
Job Responsibilities:
● Plan and organize complex operational designs, develop support plans, coordinate implementations
● Provide second level support for Local Area Network (LAN), Base Area Network (BAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) solutions encompassing heterogeneous platforms
● Assist information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation projects
● Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Network Operations
● Work with Cyber Security analysts to ensure Enterprise information flow is secure
● Ensures effective and efficient operation of network systems, architecture, and topology
● Monitor to ensure all operating systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and procedures
● Receive and analyze network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determine possible causes of such alerts
● Track and document incidents from initial detection through final resolution
● Assists with the development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levels
● Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support the implementation of new technologies
● Prepare recommendations for resolutions to NetOps challenges based on monitoring results, tools analysis, and/or forensics
● Carry duty phone one week out of three (8 average calls annually)
Experience Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
● 5-7 years of relevant IT experience
Certification Requirements:
● CompTIA Security+
● Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification (CCNA)
● Possess at least one of the following OS certifications:
○ Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or
○ Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MDAA) or
○ Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
Physical Requirements:
● Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at the waist
● Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift less than 20 lbs
● Exposed to seasonal weather based on geographic region
● Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
● See details of objects that are more than a few feet away
● See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
● Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
● Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
