Job Title : Database Administrator, Sr. *Active Top Secret Security Clearance*
Location: Remote
Supporting : The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)

Overview

CompTech is seeking a qualified Database Administrator, Sr.to support our customer, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The ideal candidate will provide all activities related to the administration, operation, and maintenance of computerized database systems in support of DoD mission requirements. This individual will be aligned to the DoD 8140/8570 Information Assurance Workforce framework at the IAT Level II and will perform database administration functions in accordance with established cybersecurity, information assurance, and information security policies and procedures, while planning and projecting long-range database administration and design requirements in coordination with information systems management and technical stakeholders. In this role, the candidate will also design, develop, implement, and maintain databases within a client/server environment, ensuring data availability, integrity, confidentiality, performance, and compliance with applicable DoD policies and contractual requirements.

Scope of Work

Key responsibilities include:
  • Administer , operate , and maintain computerized database systems, including database dictionaries, standards, procedures, file structures, and storage management.
  • Plan and project long-range requirements for database administration and design in coordination with information systems leadership.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex databases in a client/server environment, including access methods, performance optimization, storage allocation, security controls, and documentation.
  • Perform database quality control, auditing, validation, and programming to ensure data accuracy, integrity, appropriate use , and support systems integration and application development.
  • Advise users on database access, usage, and data availability across client/server systems.
  • Apply database technologies, development methodologies, and programming languages (e.g., SQL) to support database and system design.


Knowledge, Skills, and Certification Requirements:
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages and platforms, including Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL Server, and hands-on expertise with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Experience supporting DoD IT hosting environments , including at least two large-scale projects within enterprise organizations involving the administration, operation, maintenance, and security of databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple operating systems and programming languages in support of database administration, integration, and enterprise system environments.


Certification Requirements:
  • IA Level: IAT Level II (DoD 8140/8570 compliant), with one or more of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH.
  • Cloud Certification: One of the following: Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Database Certification: One of the following: Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Certified Professional.


Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Secret ** Must have ACTIVE Top Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this role**


Salary:

$115,000 - $125,000 + Benefits
