Description:MIC2 Strategy & Business Development is seeking a Senior Manager, MIC2 Advanced Concepts (AC) to serve as Deputy to the MIC2 AC Director. The leader will drive disruptive strategies, forge strategic partnerships, align advanced concepts with enterprise campaigns, and position the MIC2 portfolio as a pathfinder for the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the MIC2 AC Director to define vision, priorities, and strategy, aligning domestic and international innovation campaigns with enterprise growth objectives.
• Provide functional leadership - staffing, performance management, mentorship, and building a diverse, innovative talent pipeline.
• Build and strengthen relationships with RMS AC Partners, LM Partners, DoD Services, Combatant Commands, international partners, and both traditional and non-traditional industry.
• Lead opportunity identification, business-case development, win-strategy formulation, and capture execution.
• Conduct customer-value-proposition workshops and manage contact plans to shape requirements and ensure solutions meet market needs.
• Drive disruptive initiatives - OTAs, CSOs, CRAD/IRAD integration, third-party partnerships, LM Ventures, LM Evolve, S&T, and external investments.
• Champion digital transformation by leveraging 21st-Century Security, MBSE, Mission Engineering, and AI/ML in concept development and pursuit execution.
• Represent MIC2 AC at enterprise, industry, and customer forums to influence requirements and advocate for LM leadership.
• Research competitive intelligence and lead Black-Hat assessments to refine position-to-win strategies.
• Collaborate across functions (BD, Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Legal, etc.) to ensure seamless capture and execution.
• Stay current on emerging requirements in Cross-Echelon/Multi-Domain Command and Control and on broader industry trends.
• Champion best-in-class enterprise processes while fostering a culture of collaboration and empowerment.
• Establish and track BD performance metrics - pipeline health, probability-to-win improvements, and ROI of investments.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or related industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in BD opportunity shaping, win planning, and capture leadership.
• Proven ability to independently lead cross-functional, distributed teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with executive leadership, senior U.S. Government and international partners.
• Ability to articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government
• Familiarity with MIC2 mission areas, JADC2/JADO, and 21st Century Security priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead customer engagements independently.
• Active Secret clearance (with ability to obtain TS/SCI).
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• Experience with innovative acquisition pathways (OTAs, CSOs, CRAD/IRAD integration) and partnerships.
• Knowledge of international defense markets and coalition integration within campaigns
• Recognized as a change agent and results-oriented leader driving disruptive initiatives.
• Experience with digital engineering, mission engineering, MBSE, AI/ML, and autonomy applications.
• Track record of forging enterprise and third-party partnerships, including non-traditional entrants.
• Functional leadership experience (staffing, talent pipeline development, team management).
• Familiarity with LM enterprise innovation processes and corporate big bets.
• Domain expertise in Cross-Echelon/Multi-Domain Command and Control
• Engagement with government S&T organizations (OUSD, DARPA, DIU, AFRL, DEVCOM, etc.).
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
