Overview
As a Tier II Network Application Technician, you will provide hands-on application, network, and systems support for an emerging Department of Defense and Intelligence Community communications platform supporting our DISA customer. This role is based in Mechanicsburg, PA and operates in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
You'll be part of a blended team of contractor and government engineers responsible for day-to-day system health, administration, and advanced troubleshooting across application, network, and infrastructure layers. This includes resolving Tier II incidents, engaging directly with a high volume of community users, conducting root-cause analysis, and escalating issues when appropriate to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Responsibilities
- Supporting a large scale full motion video architecture and proactively responding to and fixing issues with the application portal and networking backbone
- Providing internal and external customers with responsive, concise and accurate status or service updates, issues and risks
- Interacting in a technical team environment with software, network and systems engineers
- Identifying documenting, tracking and escalating issues to the Tier III support group as necessary
- Utilizing network related protocols and services as well as LAN/WAN implementation and troubleshooting
- Providing assistance with large scale system and architecture implementation and operational support
- Diagnosing system issues and fault isolation
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Shift rotation is required
Qualifications
- Experience with web-based technologies, Linux/Unix operating systems and generating DB queues
- Knowledge of WAN environments and supporting infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls
- Must have demonstrated rigorous troubleshooting skills on a large systems
- Active Secret level clearance required with an upgrade to Top Secret once on the contract.
