Northrop Grumman Multi-Domain Operations Division (MDOD) has an opening for a Director 1 - Tranche 3 Tracking Layer (T3TRK) Program Manager (PM) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, California, reports directly to the Proliferated Space OU Director, and will manage a critical and strategic program within the Proliferated Space OU and the Communications & Networking BU, to rapidly field a small satellite communication constellation (Qty. 18 satellites) for the Space Development Agency (SDA).

Primary Level Salary Range: $224,300.00 - $336,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this role you will:
- Be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical management from design through satellite production, launch and operations
- Lead a group of SMEs and IPT leads across a variety of multi-disciplined hardware engineering, vehicle engineering, system engineering, quality, parts/materials, production, and I&T teams
- Interface directly with the customer PM counterpart and have responsibility for leading customer reviews (e.g. PMRs, Design Reviews)
- Le ad an active risk management process that drives continuous profitability assessments
- Champion the continued development of rapid, streamlined processes for Class C production programs
- Lead a team with numerous Intercompany Work Orders, complex subcontracts with large and small businesses, and general procurements across the United States.
- Coordinate the preparation of contract change proposals, business plans, and financial terms/ conditions of the contract.
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program problems and obtaining solutions.
- Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas and manage the program to the constraints of a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) program.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university and 10 years of experience with increasing responsibility
- Five (5) years of direct experience leading people, projects or programs to successful goal attainment
- Experience in program execution and demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones
- Demonstrated ability to create trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs/IPT's involving engineering, business, contracts, law, supply chain, production and mission/quality assurance disciplines
- Proven ability to lead a high performing team with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts, retain and inspire diverse and engaged teams
- Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated experience in hardware development programs
- The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with PMs on adjacent programs within the portfolio.
- Active Top Secret and SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters in STEM discipline or MBA from an accredited university
- Previous experience with Fixed Price efforts
- Previous experience with small satellite design and development
- Previous experience with rapid Class C program execution processes
- Previous experience with Infrared Sensor and/or complex optical payload Systems.
- Broad technical breadth with exposure to SEI, SV, Ground, Comm Payloads and/or AI&T
- Experience with relationship management of highly capable customers with near daily communication cycles
- Experience leading day-to-day operations on complex programs, with proven collaboration and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholder organizations
- Experience with resource planning across multiple phases of program lifecycle
- Leadership experience in effective change management
- Conflict management and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions
