Job Summary

Candidate will lead and manage daily operations for the Search, Track, Acquire, Radiate, Eliminate (STARE) Project Office within the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires portfolio; responsible to develop, test, acquire, field, and sustain world-class radar and sensor technologies, enabling long-range detection discrimination, tracking, and destruction of multi-domain threat capabilities through the integration with mission command and effector systems.

Candidate will support the integration of multi-discipline functions and products essential to major defense acquisition programs and other than major systems or subsystems. Key stakeholder collaboration will include the Joint Staff, OSD, HQDA, Fires Center of Excellence, PAE Fires, Capability Portfolio Executive (CPE) Fires (Offensive), Combat Capabilities Development Command, MDA and SMDC.

Roles and Responsibilities

Activities include:
  • Leads and develops operations personnel, knowledge management, and support staff; sets priorities; evaluates performance; and recommends staffing/resourcing actions to meet mission needs
  • Ensures programs/projects are on schedule to achieve program milestones
  • Develop strategic visions and plans and set objectives for senior leadership
  • Manages and track production planning documents to include organizational battle rhythm for routine and unique events
  • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections, and persuades others; often at senior levels to influence decisions
  • Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory or compliance issues; solves unique and complex problems
  • Creates higher level executive briefings and program summary reports
  • Leads and manages day-to-day operations to ensure all assigned tasks and suspense dates are completed


Candidate will serve as an advisor for a KBR Leadership program to develop and deploy monthly training and mentoring programs. These programs provide professional development, networking, community outreach, career and personal enrichment, to motivate, retain and develop our KBR team members and transform them into future leaders.

Basic Qualifications

Clearance: Active/current Secret security clearance is required

Education: Bachelor's degree with 25+ Years of experience in Air and Missile Defense / Fires Systems

Certifications: Level III Certification in Program Management or PMI PMP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and day-to-day operations
  • Experience in solving complex problems in demanding decision-making environments involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in publishing and presenting senior level briefings to Army leadership
  • Job location is Huntsville, AL
