MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD at Emerson 8.

It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO's backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to analyze user's requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements
- Provide Tier 1-3(Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the clients/servers/network devices.
- Provide support for the patching systems and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Ability to support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/ Accreditation process
- Ability to install Windows software and hardware applications; upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Must be able to create accounts, reset passwords, and provide help desk customer service via phone, or tickets
- Must be able to work at late during patching days and cover a 6am-6pm shift.
Minimum/Basic Qualifications:
- Twenty (20) years' experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with Windows OS and software and hardware applications
- IAT I certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SCANBOY or LatteArt
- Familiarity with Linx and RHEL 8 or 9
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have a current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer's desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
