Position Responsibilities:
- Apply broad knowledge of multiple security disciplines to develop, enforce, analyze, and interpret security policies and procedures in accordance with DoD, Army directives.
• Ensure all security programs are adequate to protect classified and sensitive but unclassified information, meeting Headquarters protection benchmarks.
• Serve as an appointed Special Security Representative (SSR), performing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)-related functions under SSO supervision, including processing Visit Authorization Requests (VARs), coordinating indoctrination assistance, and routing JWICS 2875 forms.
• Provide personnel security support, including assistance with background checks, clearance processing, security access validation, and processing personnel background investigations for special security clearance actions.
• Receive, validate, and transmit incoming/outgoing clearances and SCI accesses; prepare VARs and Permanent Certifications.
• Maintain electronic records in security management databases, tracking personnel access, security violations, clearance investigations, and related metrics.
• Conduct security training sessions and workshops for personnel to promote awareness and compliance with security protocols.
• Assist in developing, updating, and implementing Security Classification/Declassification Guides.
• Participate in security working groups, DoD security briefings, and interagency security coordination meetings.
• Manage security incident reporting; ensure investigations are conducted, findings documented, and mitigation strategies implemented.
• Review and process foreign travel and foreign contact requests; verify and vet foreign visitors.
• Suggest, implement, and monitor compliance with special security policies and procedures.
• Coordinate, develop, and implement local Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Plans (EPs), policies, and guidance, including preparation of documentation required for SCIF accreditation.
• Ensure SCIF integrity through alarm monitoring, access control system management, and auditing.
• Maintain access codes, spin-dial combinations, intrusion detection system codes, and keys for SCIFs and secure doors.
• Under SSO direction, coordinate with stakeholders for SCIF accreditation/certification of classified IT systems.
• Conduct semi-annual and annual Intrusion Detection System (IDS) testing, USA-directed Security Reviews, Annual Self-Inspections, SOP/EP reviews, and Emergency Plan testing.
• Maintain SCIF access processes and authorized user rosters.
• Coordinate and execute Co-Utilization Authorizations under SSO oversight.
• Assist in collateral and higher-level access and badge procedures.
• Maintain user accounts, tokens, and access for Army Information Systems, including Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS), as available and accessible.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Security Studies, or a related field. An additional five (5) years of job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
• Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in multi-discipline security (Personnel, Information, Physical, Industrial, and classification management) within a DoD or Intelligence Community environment.
Security Requirements: Top Secret/SCI
- Must be a US Citizen with a current Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
- Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
- Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
