Job Description
Firewall Engineer with 5 - 10 years of experience supporting Check Point
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and implement tools and technologies, continuously improving customer’s security posture.
Flex your pen-testing skills and work with others to identify and resolve issues in test and production environments.
Evaluate permissions of users, open ports/services and overall network setup.
Work with operational teams to improve procedures and close gaps.
Review technical security posture (network, application) for existing and new services.
Analyze ACLs and port connections to production environments.
Examine network, server, and application logs to determine trends and identify security incidents.
Participate in the Security Incident Response Process from creation to closure.
Perform monthly scans of the internal and external networks for vulnerabilities.
Set up dashboards and review production logs for documentation of personally identifiable information and patterns of possible security incidents.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 8-year experience in Information Security with experience in vulnerability management, pen testing or application security scanning.
Secret clearance level
Checkpoint Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (CCSE), desired.
F5 Certified
Basic UNIX or Linux systems administration experience (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.).
Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
Knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments as may pertain to Network and Security tasks including syslog, DNS, load balancers and BIND, Windows Event Log analysis.
Scripting/programming skills (Perl, Python) and familiarity with ethical hacking.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience.
Experience with application and data analysis tools.
Experience with HIPAA regulations and Payment Card Industry (PCI) requirements such as internal/external network scanning, audits and cryptography methodologies.
