The Change Management Lead will directly support client delivery with a focus on driving measurable value, adoption, and sustained impact. This role supports complex, enterprise-level initiatives and is responsible for guiding organizational readiness, adoption strategies, and effective utilization of enterprise systems and related platforms.

The Change Management Lead ensures successful implementation through stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training coordination, and change adoption activities. They serve as a central point of communication, maintaining a shared vision, roadmap, and objectives across project stakeholders. This role facilitates organizational change by conducting gap analyses, assessing readiness, and partnering closely with client leadership to drive successful outcomes.

The Change Management Lead works closely with cross-functional project teams and may directly or indirectly support team members to achieve project goals. This role collaborates with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of change-related activities within project scope and timelines. They coordinate with project teams and internal corporate groups to ensure change initiatives align with overall project objectives and contractual commitments.

Additionally, the Change Management Lead provides strategic guidance on change impacts, governance processes, and risk mitigation. They oversee testing support and educational initiatives to promote best-practice adoption and optimization of enterprise solutions. This role operates effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and applies strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills to support internal operations. Ideal candidates are innovative, adaptable, and highly flexible in supporting a dynamic organization.

Type of Employment: 1099 employment offered with potential for transition to full-time

Work Location/Travel: Primarily work from home, with up to 25% travel, depending upon client needs. Applicants should be free from significant travel restrictions.

Salary Range: $65-76 per hour. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is highly competitive but also dependent upon employment type.

Role Reports to: Project Manager, Career Counselor

Responsibilities:
  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology to guide organizational change initiatives.
  • Create and maintain change management plans, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Identify key stakeholders and assess readiness for change.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client leadership and internal teams to ensure alignment and buy-in.
  • Develop and execute communication plans that clearly articulate the purpose, benefits, and impact of changes.
  • Coordinate training programs and resources to prepare users for new processes or systems.
  • Monitor adoption metrics and adjust strategies to address gaps or resistance.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans in collaboration with program leadership.
  • Perform readiness assessments and gather feedback to inform change strategies.
  • Track and report on adoption progress, issues, and success metrics to stakeholders.
  • Acts as a change agent, facilitating Change Management and Communication efforts.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of structured change management and best practices.
  • Ability to build trust and influence across all organizational levels, fostering alignment and commitment to change initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to craft clear, compelling messages and deliver presentations effectively.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs and workshops to support user adoption and readiness.
  • Skilled in conducting change impact and readiness assessments, interpreting data, and adjusting strategies based on insights.
  • Ability to identify resistance points and develop creative, practical solutions to overcome barriers to change.
  • Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across diverse teams and maintain a positive environment during transitions.
  • Competence in defining success metrics, monitoring adoption progress, and refining strategies for sustained change.
  • Maintains discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive organizational changes and information.
  • Acts as a visible champion for change, promoting a culture of adaptability and resilience throughout the organization
  • Change Management certification required

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management or associated field.
  • 6+ years of Change Management experience.
  • Experience with Project Management principles
  • VA and/or DOD experience preferred

Technical Skills Required:
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office 365 skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint. Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred but not required.
