Microsoft Integration Architect

Edera L3C is a fast-growing healthcare consultancy that addresses today's issues and helps create tomorrow's solutions by connecting the brightest minds in healthcare. Our team of management, technology, and creative services consultants work collaboratively with industry experts who bring deep experience and expertise to create transformational business solutions. We believe complex challenges and multi-faceted opportunities call for multi-disciplinary approaches and that's how we work. We bring industry best practices from the private sector to government and from government to the private sector to transform healthcare. Edera is an L3C (a variation of a limited liability company) that places "purpose before profit;" a social enterprise venture. This means we are focused on a socially beneficial mission to transform organizations rather than being driven to maximize income. Profits beyond our business sustainability goals are reinvested into communities or clients.

We are seeking a Microsoft Integration Architect to lead the design and governance of enterprise integration solutions built on Microsoft Dataverse and Azure. This role is responsible for defining integration patterns, data flows, and interoperability standards that connect Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions with internal and external systems. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise across Dataverse, Azure integration services, and API-driven architectures, with a strong focus on scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.

Employment Details

This position offers flexible engagement options and may be structured as a full-time, part-time, contract, or 1099 role depending on candidate availability and project needs. The role is fully remote and carries no supervisory responsibilities. The position reports directly to the Director of Technology.

Compensation will be determined based on experience, employment status, and market analysis.

Responsibilities:

Integration Architecture and Design:

  • Define end-to-end integration architecture connecting Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, and external systems.

  • Establish integration standards, patterns, and best practices aligned to Microsoft reference architectures.

  • Design scalable, loosely coupled solutions supporting real-time, batch, and event-driven data exchange.

Dataverse-Centric Data Architecture:

  • Lead Dataverse data modeling decisions to support integration requirements, performance, and data governance.

  • Define ownership, synchronization, and lifecycle rules for master and transactional data.

  • Ensure consistent use of Dataverse APIs, change tracking, and data access patterns.

Azure Integration Services:

  • Architect integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.

  • Define secure API strategies including authentication, throttling, monitoring, and versioning.

  • Support integration patterns using REST, JSON, XML, CSV, and event-based messaging.

Security, Compliance, and Reliability:

  • Design integrations that meet healthcare, privacy, and security requirements including encryption, audit logging, and least-privilege access.

  • Implement secure identity and access models using Azure AD and managed identities.

  • Define resiliency patterns including retry logic, dead-letter queues, and failover strategies.

Power Platform and Dynamics Integration:

  • Guide development teams on integrating Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dynamics 365 with external systems.

  • Review and approve integration designs implemented by developers to ensure architectural consistency.

  • Support integration-related troubleshooting and complex escalations.

Governance, Documentation, and Standards:

  • Create and maintain integration architecture documentation, diagrams, and interface specifications.

  • Define ALM and environment promotion strategies for integration components.

  • Participate in architecture reviews, design boards, and technical governance forums.

Collaboration and Delivery Support:

  • Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, support analysts, and security teams.

  • Translate business and functional requirements into integration architecture and technical designs.

  • Support implementation, testing, and production readiness activities.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive experience designing integrations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse.

  • Deep expertise with Azure integration services and API-driven architectures.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data synchronization, and master data management concepts.

  • Experience implementing secure, scalable enterprise integrations.

  • Ability to evaluate trade-offs between real-time, batch, and event-based integration approaches.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Desirable (Not Required) Skills/Experience

  • PMP or SAFe certification

  • Prior military or DHA experience
