ActioNet is seeking technical professionals on a contract basis (4 to12 weeks) to support enterprise network modernization efforts: a Wireless Engineer JNY (OCONUS) and a Network Engineer JNY (OCONUS) These roles support the design, assessment, deployment, and optimization of secure wired and wireless network infrastructures in complex operational environments.These positions support operations across multiple locations (Okinawa, Misawa or Yokota, Kunsun, or Osan) Candidates must be willing to travel up to 40% and understand that they may be required to work at different locations during their employment, based on mission requirements, project phases, or customer needs.Both roles involve hands-on site survey work, coordination with engineering and security teams, adherence to safety and compliance standards, and support of installations from planning through post-deployment operations.





Wireless Engineer – Must have’s:

Assist in implementing the architectural vision for wireless services, including Wi-Fi access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain high-density wireless networks in accordance with 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards and industry best practices.

Design, validate, and support RF link performance, quality, and reliability for WLANs and other wireless network technologies.

Network Engineers—Must Have’s:

Perform tasks in support of Senior and Journeyman Network Engineers in the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of secure data networks.

Assist with developing network designs, configurations, and implementations based on customer requirements and performance specifications.

Conduct network site surveys and assessments to identify appropriate hardware, software, and connectivity solutions.

Support preliminary and final SPRIP development.

Assist with system pre-tests, acceptance testing, and validation of designed performance criteria.

Ensure network installations comply with safety standards, site cleanliness requirements, and restoration expectations.

Apply working knowledge of routing protocols, including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

Support RMF documentation and artifacts, including network topology and data flow diagrams, hardware/software inventories, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services documentation, and POA&Ms.

Support the design and implementation of secure network, system, and application architectures.

Assist with network management functions such as SNMP, SYSLOG, monitoring, and orchestration.

Support LOM development to capture major system components and installation materials.

Contribute to technical deliverables, reporting, and performance metrics.

Assist Operations & Maintenance teams in troubleshooting network issues following system deployment.

Support requirement gathering and analysis efforts to design scalable and secure network solutions.

Coordinate with local communication squadrons and regional cybersecurity teams during configuration, turn-up, and cutover activities.

Perform multiple complex assignments while following established engineering standards and processes.



Requirements (Applies on Both Positions)

Education: Technical BA/BS degree
OR High School diploma or Associate degree with a minimum of 5 years of network engineering experience on large, complex programs

Experience: Minimum 3 years of network engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree

Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); strong written and verbal communication skills

Clearance: Active Secret clearance



Travel & Work Location Requirements (Applies to Both Positions)

These roles support operations across IndoPAC Region

Travel of up to 40% is required, A Valid Passport is required.

Employees may be asked to temporarily or permanently work at different locations during their employment based on project needs and operational priorities.
