IT Asset Manager
GDIT has an exciting opportunity to support the Security Assistance Group - Ukraine (SAG-U) as a member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa's (USAREUR-AF) mission in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing the lifecycle of all government and contractor IT equipment in support of the SAG-U J6. This role ensures accountability and visibility of end-user devices, infrastructure components, and mobility assets across multiple enclaves in accordance with DoD ITAM policy.

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for tracking, reporting, and managing the lifecycle of all government and contractor IT equipment in support of the SAG-U J6. This role ensures accountability and visibility of end-user devices, infrastructure components, and mobility assets across multiple enclaves in accordance with DoD ITAM policy.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As an IT Asset Manager at GDIT, you will ensure mission readiness through reliable IT asset visibility, support logistics coordination, and assist in budgetary forecasting for replacements and upgrades.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Maintain accurate, real-time records of all IT hardware and software assets using enterprise asset tracking systems (e.g., Snipe-IT).
- Conduct regular physical inventories, cyclical audits, and lifecycle tracking across all locations and enclaves.
- Support government property accountability and develop reports on equipment status, availability, and lifecycle projections.
- Coordinate with Service Desk, Logistics, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate check-in/check-out processes, equipment imaging, and end-of-life disposition.
- Track warranty statuses and proactively develop tech refresh and lifecycle replacement plans.
- Serve as the primary liaison for tracking IT purchase orders, monitoring status from request through final delivery.
- Manage the receiving process for all new IT assets, ensuring items are verified against purchase orders, asset-tagged, and formally entered into the inventory system.
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to validate procurement requests against current inventory levels and future needs.
- Develop asset reports for leadership and support input to planning and procurement forecasts
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Education: High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience, Associate's with 3 years, or Bachelor's with 1 year in IT asset management, logistics, or supply chain operations
- Experience: 3+ years managing IT asset records, inventories, and reporting in government or enterprise settings
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with asset management platforms such as Snipe-IT, Remedy, or ServiceNow; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry/reporting practices; Understanding of IT hardware components, serial tracking, and inventory tagging
- Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
- ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to coordinate with multi-functional teams and maintain process compliance
- Knowledge of DoD accountability policies and IT lifecycle principles
- CERTIFICATIONS: Required: IAT Level II (e.g. Security+ CE); Preferred: CompTIA ITF+, ITAM Foundation, or DoD Logistics certifications
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Army ITAM or NEC operations
- Familiarity with equipment shipping, customs, or theater-level property movement
- Knowledge of inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution procedures
- Ability to develop SOPs and process documentation
