Computer World Services Corp (CWS) is seeking an experienced Service Desk Application Engineer Level II to analyze complex system requirements, designing software tools and subsystems, and ensuring the efficient implementation of software solutions. This role involves managing software development and support using industry-standard design techniques, estimating development costs and schedules, and refining existing programs to optimize performance. The ideal candidate has expertise in software configuration management, formal specifications, and CASE tools, with 5-7 years of experience in software engineering and application support.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- System Analysis and Design
- Analyze and study complex system requirements to determine optimal solutions.
- Design software tools and subsystems that support software reuse and domain analyses.
- Implement software solutions in alignment with organizational and project objectives.
- Software Development and Support
- Manage the software development lifecycle using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques.
- Utilize Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to streamline development processes.
- Review, refine, and optimize existing programs to improve efficiency and reduce operating time.
- Cost Estimation and Scheduling
- Estimate software development costs and create detailed project schedules.
- Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
- Software Configuration Management
- Supervise software configuration management activities to maintain version control and documentation integrity.
- Ensure that changes and updates are tracked and implemented seamlessly.
Education & Experience
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in software development, system analysis, and application support.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing software tools and subsystems.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and CASE tools.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and techniques.
- Familiarity with software configuration management processes and tools.
