Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Property Patrol Full-Time in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated commercial real estate locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as they arise, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client contacts to address security-related concerns in the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and any interactions requiring attention.
• Remain alert to surroundings and follow all post orders and site-specific instructions as provided by Allied Universal and the client.
• Assist with access control and/or visitor management as required by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
