Overview
Job Title: Senior Logistics Analyst - Afloat LeadLocation: San Diego, CA
Introduction: Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has an opening for a Senior Logistics Analyst to join our rapidly growing team in the San Diego, CA area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.
Duties: The performance of this work requires the application of broad knowledge of a wide variety of logistics support activities necessary to support Navy Operations. These include, but are not limited to:• Provide service in connection with Navy logistics operation, financial management and inventory management.• Evaluate shipboard facilities, assess food service equipment requirements and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and quality of life.• Evaluate and analyze initiatives and plans pertaining to the Ford Class program and submit recommendations to the Government for implementation or enhancements to shipboard supply services operations.• Provide technical assistance and expertise in shipboard habitability, food service equipment, and berthing requirements.• Shall assess shipboard manpower requirements and advise the impact of personnel manning reductions on supply services operations to the government. Identify opportunities for efficiencies or if workload demands additional support.• Attend Ford Carrier/CVN-21/CVN-78 meetings and conferences to collect and compile information and report results and outcomes to government representatives.• Develop and draft recommendations for new or ongoing requirements affecting fleet modernization programs.• Develop, draft, and recommend budget requirements and projected costs for shipboard improvements.• Evaluate and analyze newly implemented Ford Carrier/CVN-21/CVN-78 initiatives and provide a detailed report of capabilities and deficiencies.• Draft presentations and briefs on Ford Carrier/CVN-21/CVN-78 initiatives. Provide briefings on initiatives to other commands, activities and major claimants.• Prepare reports and submit results, with recommendations for improvements, for all inspections and assessments conducted. Reports will be provided to the CNAF Services Officer.• Assess and make recommendations on CNAF aircraft carriers' Ney Award preparations and evaluations.• Provide training on new food service equipment and review operator performance, identify problems, and recommend solutions to appropriate government personnel. • Conduct reviews of new and existing supply systems and programs and provide draft reports of findings with recommendations for corrective actions, improvements, or solutions. • Develop, analyze, conduct operational audits, and prepare follow-up reports evaluating effectiveness of systems implementations. • Support the Government in research and development of Force Supply policies, procedures and guidance to be provided to CNAF/CNAP supported units.• Design, build and maintain a historical and trend analysis database required to evaluate andmonitor performance metrics.• Evaluate current Access database files and Excel spreadsheets and recommend improvement for performance metrics and management tool applications.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.• Initiative-taker requiring minimal supervision.• Works well in a team environment.• 20 years of logistic experience in the U.S military preferred.• Lead Culinary Specialist (CS)/ Supply Officer experienced preferred.• Proficiency in the following areas will be required - afloat food service operations. • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a business discipline is required.• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook) is required.• Experience with financial management in the Navy.• Proficiency in inventory functions, Afloat Food Service Management, food service equipment life cycle, shipboard habitability, and NEY Award preparation and inspection.• Experience with the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness program.• Experience with automated supply/maintenance management, supply system query programs, shipment channels, and standard supply processes.• Proficiency with Navy FSM program, CVN maintenance program and CSMP understanding,Navy Cash program, NEY program, familiarity of Postal Operations.
