The Supply Chain Specialist for the Aerospace Systems Team will build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of project materials and equipment. They will collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and uphold quality standards. This role includes identifying supplier risks and developing mitigation plans, as well as partnering with internal stakeholders to create material strategies and procurement plans aligned with production objectives.

The annual pay range for the Supply Chain Specialist position is $80,000 to $120,000.
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. This role includes identifying supplier risks and developing mitigation plans, as well as partnering with internal stakeholders to create material strategies and procurement plans aligned with production objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate supplier agreements covering pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards
- Coordinate communication between internal product teams and suppliers to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Resolve issues related to supplier performance, cost, schedule, or quality of procured materials
- Partner with internal stakeholders to design and implement a supplier rating framework that strengthens Aero Supply Chain capabilities
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against established metrics, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prepare vendor justification documents
- Support project teams in coordinating and managing Non-Disclosure Agreements with suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related field
- 4+ years of supply chain experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Skilled in sourcing and assessing future suppliers for critical materials and/or processes
- Must have knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
Preferred:
- Familiarity with AS9100 supply chain principles
- Familiarity with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) handling, tracking, and reporting
- Knowledge of Counterfeit Parts Prevention and Obsolescence tracking processes
