Description:Role Overview
In this role, you will support the integration and testing of complex aerospace systems, ensuring hardware and systems perform as designed. You will work in an Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) environment, contributing to mission-critical space and missile defense programs. This position offers hands-on technical work, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to grow into certified test leadership roles.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
• Execute integration and test activities to verify hardware and system performance
• Develop, maintain, and execute test procedures that support vehicle integration and delivery
• Coordinate daily test readiness and execution across multiple disciplines and support teams
• Support and perform duties as a Certified Test Conductor / Test Engineer (certification obtained on the job)
• Review requirements and ensure systems are testable and meet customer expectations
• Analyze test results and document findings in clear, accurate reports
• Identify, document, and support resolution of discrepancies
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and customer teams to meet technical, schedule, and cost objectives
Work Environment
• Work is performed in assembly, integration, test, and laboratory environmentsThis role supports activities across Huntsville and Courtland, Alabama
• Hands-on interaction with flight hardware, test equipment, and engineering teams
• May include standing, lifting, and working around energized systems in accordance with safety procedures

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all requirements to be considered.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start
• Experience or willingness to learn Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) operations
• Experience or willingness to learn how to write and execute test procedures in an Assembly, Test, Launch Operations (ATLO), or production environment
• Willingness and ability to present technical information to customers and Lockheed Martin leadership
• Ability to work between the Huntsville and Courtland, Alabama facilities
Desired Skills:
These "nice-to-have" skills strengthen a candidate's application but are not required.
• Prior certification as a Certified Test Conductor and/or Certified Principal Engineer
• Experience supporting or working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
• Experience testing missile or space systems in a production or operational environment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Background in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or hardware integration
• Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space systems and tools (such as SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, Automation Framework) or equivalent industry tools
• Hands-on experience with basic lab equipment (power supplies, multimeters, signal analyzers, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with customers, program teams, and internal stakeholders
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
