Description:
You will be the Depot Level Repair Technician - Modernized Target Designation Sight/Pilotage Night Vision System (M TADS/M PNVS) for the Advanced Avionics Sustainment Team. Our team ensures mission critical night vision hardware stays flight ready, delivering rapid repairs, upgrades, and reliability enhancements for customers worldwide.
What You Will Be Doing
As the depot level technician you will be responsible for restoring, modifying, and refurbishing mechanical, electrical, optical, and structural subsystems of the M TADS/M PNVS. You'll work hands on with sophisticated test equipment, interpret engineering drawings, and act as the on site technical liaison for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of complete night vision systems and their subsystems.
• Operating automated test gear (oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, waveform generators) and applying electronic/optical theory to diagnose failures.
• Using precision metrology tools to verify compliance with engineering tolerances and specifications.
• Executing work in strict accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Center Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs).
• Recording all actions in the automated maintenance data collection system per Apache Fire Control processes.
• Delivering technical briefings and training to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Providing feedback on electro mechanical and electro optical components to drive reliability improvements.
• Safely handling hazardous materials and chemicals while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience/combined education.
- Strong knowledge and experience of standard mechanical and electro-mechanical repairs
- Knowledge of basic avionics and electronics prinicples
- Experience with cable and harness repair
- Knowledge of trouble-shooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment
- Knowledge of the operation of general purpose and/or automated test equipment
- Knowledge of the interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures
- Familiarity with industrial standards, military specifications and industry processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements
- Ability to understand policies and procedures for the use and control of Government property
- Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
- Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Ability to obtain a D.O.D. security clearance (SECRET)
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of automated and/or general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) used in a depot
- Knowledge of fault isolation for electro-mechanical and electro-optical components
- Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair
- Knowledge of industrial and aircraft maintenance safety standards
- Military flight-line maintenance experience
