Description:Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Proposal Management leader who is responsible for will provide strategic direction, operational oversight, and mentorship to a team of Proposal Managers and Proposal Coordinators responsible for developing complex government and commercial proposals. This role partners closely with Capture Leads, Program Management, Engineering and F&BO, and senior leadership to ensure proposals are compelling, compliant, and delivered on schedule and budget. The incumbent will drive continuous improvement of proposal processes, tools, and best practices while ensuring disciplined execution across the organization.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Lead and train a high performing team of Proposal Managers and supporting staff.
• Oversee end-to0end proposal lifecycle, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements, security classifications, and internal policies.
• Review and approve proposal content, strategies, and compliance matrices.
• Facilitate blue, pink and red team reviews and lessons learned debriefs
• Lead and implement process improvements and tools to enhance proposal development capabilities.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, templates, and a knowledge management repository.
• Identify and mitigate proposal related risks.
• Conduct talent assessments, succession planning, and professional development initiatives (e.g., training, certifications, mentorship).
• Support Capture Excellence organization business rhythms.
• Responsible for the assessment and revision of associated Proposal Management Command Media to ensure it's maintained with current and best practices, including tools and templates to support proposal efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience leading an organization or large team to meet critical schedules, resolving complex technical or operational problems, and providing employee mentoring.
• Demonstrated expertise in capture and/or proposal management and processes.
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - with experience briefing executive leadership.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading competitive as well as follow-on proposal efforts.
• Experience with the Intelligence Community, DoD, NASA, Commercial, and/or International capture and proposal development process.
• Demonstrated team-building skills.
• Ability to lead a geographically dispersed team.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 - $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
