Description
SAIC is seeking a Joint Training Liaison located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Chief of Exercise Plans and Joint Training Division (J75), and Joint Training and Analysis Branch (J751) by coordinating joint training initiatives with the J5 Taiwan Joint Training Team that enhance interoperability across the services.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Coordinate with INDOPACOM Staff, service components, and subordinate commands to ensure seamless training integration of operational and tactical exercises.
• Integrate J75 exercise equities with J5 country strategy and plans.
• Manage documentation, metrics, and reports using military information systems.
• Oversee operational-level joint training exercise programs aligned with USINDOPACOM objectives.
• Provide input for training assessments, exercise summary reports (ESRs) and after-action reviews (AARs).
• Evaluate training effectiveness, recommend enhancements, and prepare briefings for senior leaders.
• Ensure compliance with DoD and USINDOPACOM policies and directives.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's and ten (10)+ years of related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Experience in a Joint Billet or on a Combatant Command staff.
• Knowledge of joint training doctrine (CJCSI 3500 series) and campaign planning.
• Proven experience with large-scale training exercises.
• Skilled in working with military information and messaging systems.
• Experienced with travel in the INDOPACOM AOR.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
• Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Must be a current US Citizen.
DESIRED SKILLSET:
• Strategic thinker with firsthand operational experience in joint military environments.
• Comfortable briefing high-ranking military and civilian personnel.
• Able to translate strategic objectives into executable training scenarios.
• Master's preferred (e.g., National Security Studies, International Relations).
• PMP or other project/program management certification preferred.
• Language proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
