Basic Requirements:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
In addition to the above basic requirement, in lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-07:
1 full academic year of graduate education or law school or a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
GS-09:
2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or master's or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D.
GS-11:
3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
GS-12:
There is no substitute of education for experience for this series at this grade level.

- At the GS-07/09/11 you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the Full Performance Level (GS-12), you will perform the following:
- You will resolve problems inherent in the contracting and teaming processes and provide training to junior team members.
- You will coordinate contractor's requests for waivers or deviations from contract specifications.
- You will perform comprehensive acquisition planning, analysis, and negotiation for repair and/or spare parts acquisitions in support of managed equipment.
- You will develop the contractual strategy and acquisition plan utilizing various innovative contracting vehicles.
- You will evaluate requests for equitable adjustment and special financing provisions.
- You will negotiate changes in price(s), terms and conditions due to contract modifications, supplementary agreements, settlements from change orders due to defective specifications, changed site conditions(s), etc.
