Required Skills & Qualification
- At least 10 years of experience in Java application support and development
- Strong proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and web development languages such as HTML, XML, and CSS
- Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technologies like Servlet, JDBC, and JSP
- Familiarity with the Spring framework and enterprise methodologies such as ITIL and SDLC
- Eligible for Security Clearance and Canadian Protected-B (Reliability clearance)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with ReactJS and container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
- Knowledge of web security practices including OWASP
- Exposure to Agile frameworks (Kanban, Scrum) and cloud-hosted application servers on AWS
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, and others
- Strong analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support for Java-based applications in production and test environments
- Participate in design, development, testing, and debugging of Java services
- Ensure stability through proactive monitoring, security compliance, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in system renewal, stability, upgrade, and disaster recovery projects
