The National Training Center (NTC), the Department's Center of Excellence for Security and Safety Training and Professional Development, designs, develops, and implements state-of-the-art security and safety training programs for Department federal and contractor personnel nationwide, including the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
POSITION SUMMARY:
Amentum is hiring a Registrar to support our DOE NTC program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing class attendees, pre-requisites, assisting course instructors with preparation of class and answering incoming calls.

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Responsibilities:
- Provide registration customer service to DOE personnel and DOE contractors following established procedures and desk-top guides.
- Manage training records for NTC classes and correspondence courses following desk-top procedures.
- Process and manage all requests for correspondence courses efficiently.
- Provide accurate status updates to POCs and students.
- Send email notification to POCs confirming student's attendance with status dues dates.
- Enter student feedback data Instructor Led courses in specialized database.
- Process registration enrollment and cancellation, by following desk-top procedures.
- Manage class attendees and pre-requisites.
- Work as a team player to meet Task deadlines
- Follow Q&A and desk-top procedures for identifying and annotating duplicate student records, accurately update student contact information and training history.
- Prepare instructor folder and certificates for class.
- Applies and follows basic safety and security concepts and policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years of experience in administrative support.
- Must be able to obtain a DOE BAO (Building Access Only) clearance or currently possess a DOE BAO clearance and must maintain the BAO clearance for the duration of the contract. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a DOE BAO clearance.
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, follow procedures and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong team player.
- Attention for detail.
- Basic computer proficiency, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education Degree in Administration.
- Microsoft Excel and Power Point experience.
