Duties
As a Production Controller (Fleet Manager), GS-1152-09, you will serve as the Vehicle Fleet Manager for host and subordinate units; ensuring the efficient and effective utilization and maintenance of vehicles and equipment (i.e., refueling vehicles, fire trucks, materiel handling equipment, de-icing, snow removal, aircraft towing, tactical, construction equipment, and DOMOPS vehicles). Incumbent performs preliminary planning, long term scheduling, managing maintenance production, and conducting analysis. Analyzes and reviews reports and statistical data from subordinate functions and other sources for the purpose of evaluating overall maintenance program status or identifying exception, trend, or problems areas. Perform other duties as assigned.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, Level 8-1 (5 Points)Level 8-1 is met as the position is sedentary for the most part with no special physical demands. The position does require some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. It does not require frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, crouching, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderately heavy items.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work involves everyday risks or discomforts associated with an office setting. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Production areas visited by the incumbent are relatively free from hazards.

- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
