Specialized Experience:
For GS-11:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying established logistics procedures to support functions such as supply, maintenance, or transportation operations; AND 2) Assisting in tracking resources for various logistical and supply programs; AND 3) Gathering information to assist in the development of budget estimates for logistical requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, or Business Administration or other fields related to the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
If substituting experience with education, you MUST provide a copy of your transcripts with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.
For GS-12:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting in providing technical guidance on a wide range of logistics management functions such as supply and hand receipt support, personal property maintenance, transportation, and/or facilities operations; AND 2) Allocating resources for logistic, supply, maintenance, and transportation programs; AND 3) Preparing budget estimates for logistical requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Note: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Incumbent serves as the District Logistics Manager (DLM) and advisor to the District Commander / Center Directors and staff concerning all logistics support functions.
- Implement regulations to support continuing and effective logistical operations for organizations and employees housed primarily in an office environment.
- Manage and has direct oversight for the District / Center of Supply operations which involve coordination and assistance concerning personal property inventories, accountability, authorizations and disposal.
- Manage and has direct oversight for District / Center of Facility Management which includes system control, oversight, data entry, repair, history, analysis and documentation of the Facilities Equipment Maintenance System (FEM) control program.
- Assemble and forward budget requirements concerning current and future projected logistics operational support of the District.
- Serve as the advisor to the District Commander / Center Directors and staff on logistics services matters.
- Supervise a team of GS, wage grade, or contract employees in achieving and supporting specific tasks related to USACE supply, transportation, equipment, owned and/or leased facilities maintenance programs and the personal property program.
