Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Acquisition Logistics Lead to join our collaborative Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team, shaping the next generation of space communication systems for the United States Space Force (USSF). In this role, you will be instrumental in defining sustainment and supportability strategies for advanced satellite communication (SATCOM) systems across the acquisition lifecycle. This position is located in El Segundo, California.

Responsibilities:
- Lead acquisition logistics planning, execution, and integration efforts within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Drive technical working groups to identify risks, close requirements gaps, and influence program decisions that ensure mission readiness and long-term system supportability.
- Advise Government Program Managers and senior Space Force leadership on acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and program execution.
- Provide expertise in software acquisition for classified ACAT-like space control systems.
- Develop strategic documentation to support Defense Acquisition Boards and source selection activities.
- Offer guidance on Air Force contracting and financial management processes.
- Serve as team lead for acquisition and systems engineering professionals, supporting ongoing and emerging program acquisitions.
- Manage schedules for DoD programs and identify execution issues with actionable solutions.
- Prepare presentation materials, status briefings, and strategic communications.
- Conduct business case analyses and risk assessments, providing recommendations to program leadership.
- Collaborate on acquisition planning documents (AoA, ASP, ASD, J&A) and solicitation materials (RFPs, SOWs, CDRLs, Incentive Plans).
Qualifications:
- Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (e.g., systems engineering, software engineering).
- 9+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ACAT I-III program management.
- Experience as an evaluator/advisor in source selection.
- Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
- Certifications: DAWIA/APDP Program Management Level III, PMP, or PgMP.
- Experience with MILSATCOM systems such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, Tactical SATCOM, or COMSATCOM.
