Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Engineering Technician position that just opened in Bloomington, MN. In this role, you will work support engineering activities including design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, and specialized test equipment. To be considered, you will have an Associate's degree plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience.

Location: Bloomington, MN
Position: Senior Engineering Technician
Contract: 24 months or longer
Pay: $31.62/hour

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering activities including design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, and specialized test equipment.
  • Perform research and laboratory functions such as:
  • Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, and systems.
  • Conduct calibration and alignment checks.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
  • Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools and equipment using drawings, parts, and instructions.
  • Implement practical solutions for process improvement.
  • Document experiments and organize data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions.
  • Build basic tooling and fixtures for unique tasks.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant work.
  • Fundamental knowledge and proficiency in the use of related tools and equipment.
  • Ability to fabricate simple hardware as required.
  • Clear understanding of computer systems and test equipment.
  • May require:
  • 1st Class FCC license
  • Solder Repair certification

Clearance Requirements
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed.
