Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force - Deputy Program Manager Engineering / Project Lead position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will lead engineering project teams in planning, execution, and delivery of capability development projects. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Position: Space Force - Deputy Program Manager Engineering / Project Lead
Contract: 24 months or longer
Pay: $96.86/hour

Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering project teams in planning, execution, and delivery of capability development projects.
  • Support program management activities including cost, schedule, and performance tracking.
  • Apply advanced engineering principles and project leadership methodologies to complex programs.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and corrective actions to stakeholders.
  • Anticipate technology, process, and skill requirements for future program needs.
  • Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts within project teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and manage conflict effectively.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of project life cycles, Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost Account Management (CAM), SPI/CPI, and statistical process controls.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes, company policies, and advanced technology concepts.

Clearance Requirements
  • Department of Defense Top Secret clearance preferred at time of hire.
  • Applicants may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Demonstrated proactive leadership and ability to influence across business units.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical and program topics to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in anticipating technology and process needs for complex programs.
