Position Description

ENSCO is seeking a motivated Junior Specialist in Cybersecurity & Network Operations to support the development and security of the MEO Satellite Operations Center (MSOC), Backup MSOC (BMSOC), and Ground Entry Points (GEPs). In this role, you'll work closely with senior cybersecurity engineers, ISSOs, and network specialists to help design, build, secure, and operate mission-critical systems that support DoD space operations. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience with system hardening, encryption technologies, network integration, and cyber defense in a high-impact environment.

Position Description
• Support the integration of FORGE Framework and Satellite Vendor Command & Control (C2) software into MSOC and BMSOC systems.
• Assist with system design, installation, and configuration of hardware, software, and network equipment.
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and help implement cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD RMF and NIST SP 800-53.
• Support network setup for terrestrial and space-ground cryptographic systems, including configuration of Points of Presence (PoPs).
• Participate in system roll-out, integration testing, and security compliance documentation.
• Contribute to COMSEC and crypto key management activities under the supervision of senior personnel.
• Help develop and maintain documentation in MBSE SAM and eMASS for ATO compliance.
• Assist in network monitoring, system performance analysis, and troubleshooting activities.

Qualifications Required:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2 -4 years in system administration, cybersecurity, or network support.
  • Knowledge of: DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST SP 800-53).
  • Familiarity with STIGs, system hardening, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Understanding of network protocols and basic encryption systems.
  • Must possess (or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire) a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification such as Security+ CE.
  • TS/SCI clearance, for which you must be a US citizen.

Qualifications Desired:
  • Experience with COMSEC operations or key management systems.
  • Familiarity with MBSE SAM, eMASS, or Cameo.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps or CI/CD environments.
  • Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
