Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Red LAN teamis seeking a Associate Systems Engineer (Level 1) to join our team located in Colorado Springs, CO.

This position will support the creation and documentation of multi-site ground infrastructure designs in support of the Red LAN program execution. Candidate will assist in conducting research, documentation and deployment of emerging technologies and techniques. This position will also assist with preparation, planning, coordinating and installation of complex integration projects, as well as configuration management and hardware drawings. In addition, this position will also support the maintenance of Red LAN networks and computing systems as it relates to cyber security requirements. As a member of the Red LAN team, you will be involved in the entire development life cycle, from idea creation and development to maintenance and support of the customer's delivered system. This position will place you in roles where you can make an impact on the results of our Red LAN projects. The Red LAN team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you can learn from or lead others.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to support activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Assists in evaluation of customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Assists in analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Assists in analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
  • Assists in developing, maintaining and identifying improvements in planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • 1+ years of experience related work experience

Summary pay range: $71,400 - $96,600
