Role Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations Manufacturing Engineering Team in King of Prussia, PA.

Help transform engineering designs into reliable, repeatable manufacturing processes that support complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies. You'll collaborate closely with design engineering, production teams, quality, and operations to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery-while building a strong foundation for a long-term engineering career in aerospace and defense.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies
• Provide producibility feedback to design engineering during development and production
• Write and maintain production plans and manufacturing documentation
• Evaluate nonconforming hardware and support process optimization to meet program goals
• Partner with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements and increase efficiency
• Support Production Control by helping prioritize work to meet delivery schedules
• Analyze shop performance data and assist Quality Assurance with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support the development and production of advanced defense systems

Work Environment
Location: On-site in King of Prussia, PA
Schedule: Standard business hours with occasional weekend or off-hour support as needed to meet production schedules
Travel: May be required
Team Setting: Collaborative manufacturing and engineering environment with hands-on exposure to real hardware

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all requirements
• Experience with mechanical, vehicle, and/or electromechanical assembly
• Experience writing or contributing to manufacturing work instructions
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, or design documentation
• Experience in manufacturing and/or production operations
• Active Secret security clearance (or higher) and U.S. Citizenship are required to support this program
Desired Skills:
"Nice-to-have" skills that strengthen candidacy
• Experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment
• Exposure to high-mix production operations
• Experience developing rework instructions, repair procedures, or flow alteration records
• Familiarity with missile, reentry vehicle, or complex system assembly
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, work measurement, and labor standards
• Experience using SAP or similar manufacturing systems
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills in a team-based environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
