SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of theories and principles of logistics management, planning and execution; Knowledge and application of Air Force flight line aircraft maintenance; includes sortie generation operations, deployment and redeployment preparation and execution; Practical knowledge of systems design along with familiarity of specifications and understanding of maintenance requirements during acquisition and other stages of a system project; Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, bed down of munitions as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures as well as knowledge of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program. Ability to analyze, plan, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan. Knowledge and application of Air Force flight line aircraft maintenance; includes sortie generation operations, deployment and redeployment preparation and execution. Knowledge of personnel management policies, practices and procedures including the ability to adjust work operations to meet emergencies, the ability to change program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice of quantity and quality of work; includes knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing along with skill in developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and working cooperatively as a team member. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

- Develops goals and objectives that integrate plans, organizes and oversees the activities.
- Responsible for providing training, resources, and systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of installation deployment processes.
- Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem.

Conditions of Employment Continued:
- The employee shall be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and must meet special access program requirements. During exercises, contingencies, crisis situations or war the employee must be able to perform assigned operations until relieved by proper authority.
- This position is Emergency Essential (E-E). In event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or a designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent or designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing capability of the organization to function effectively. This meets the criteria of an E-E position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status
