The Project Controls Manager (PCM) works closely with leadership in Business Operations (BusOps), Projects & Construction (P&C), and other functional areas to deliver optimized project controls services for a broad array of projects in construction, and operations & maintenance of facility assets, infrastructure, and systems.
The PCM will provide leadership, management, and direction to the project controls team. The PCM will lead the team in all aspects of Project Controls including planning, budgeting, cost and schedule performance, analysis, forecast management, change management, and integration with other Project and functional organizations in support of work execution.
The PCM will possess strong leadership, team management, time management, and resource management capabilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and tactful negotiation skills.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Manage and coordinate activities and deliverables assigned to the Project Controls team including providing consistent reporting of scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and update policies, procedures, work instructions, training, and mentoring for Project Controls in alignment with Amentum policies. Develop and continuously improve cost and schedule metrics and tools. Establish clear expectations for the generation and maintenance of accurate and timely deliverables including monthly and ad hoc performance reports, spending forecasts, and detailed schedules and cost estimates.
- Ensure consistency and quality in project planning, scheduling and budgeting in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Research and prepare proposals to Amentum Management for process improvements, software solutions, industry best practices, and any other ideas that improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of project controls deliverables and/or project deliverables.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders, including variance analysis and recommendations. Prepare standard weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as required by leadership or for contract deliverables to the customer. Monitor project performance metrics and proactively identify and report on risks or deviations from plan.
- Facilitate integrated strategic planning exercises with stakeholders on a regular basis ensuring consistent use of project control tools and methodologies
- Assist in the strategizing and preparation of proposals and pricing from a controls perspective
- Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace
- Any other reasonable duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Essential
- Proven experience in project controls, ideally within construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and financial tracking systems
- Solid understanding of cost control principles, forecasting, and EAC methodologies
- Undergraduate Qualifications or Equivalent Work Experience and Training - Field: Business, Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
Desirable
- Post Graduate Qualifications - Field: Business, Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
