Markon is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Information Assurance Specialist to support a large Intelligence Community customer. This role provides senior-level expertise in information assurance, cybersecurity, and system integration to inform high-impact decisions shaping the future of IT systems across the IC. This person will advise leadership, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure security requirements align with mission and enterprise objectives.

USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

This person will advise leadership, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure security requirements align with mission and enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance across information assurance, cybersecurity, system integration, and program management to support senior decision-making.
- Develop and refine security assessment criteria, including metrics, measures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities, including extensive use of Greenlight.
- Participate in cybersecurity governance, policy, and standards bodies, representing customer interests and best practices.
- Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and recommend security strategies aligned with mission requirements.
- Serve as a trusted SME advisor for discussions on future IT enhancements and enterprise-wide security direction.
- Provide senior-level briefing materials, talking points, and recommendations for leadership.
- Advise on integration activities across the enterprise IT portfolio.
- Provide informed input on future investment areas, emerging risks, and opportunities to strengthen IC cybersecurity posture.
- Contribute guidance on current and future IC Security Operations Centers (SoCCs).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree with 12-15 years of relevant experience in information assurance or cybersecurity.
- Extensive experience performing Assessment & Authorization (A&A) using Greenlight.
- Demonstrated experience across core cybersecurity responsibility areas, including policy, assessment, and integration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent record of delivering thorough, well-structured products.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with IC cybersecurity tools and processes, including SCOR, CIRT, SCEC waivers, ICSCC reporting, Jetstream, Xacta, and Altitude.
- Experience developing senior-level talking points and briefings for executive leadership.
- Proven ability to influence enterprise-level IT and cybersecurity decisions.
- Experience providing guidance on IC SoCCs and enterprise security operations.
- Demonstrated ability to offer forward-looking, innovative recommendations for future IT and cybersecurity investments.
