Trellix Engineer - TS/SCI CI Poly

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Trellix Endpoint Engineer to support a prime contractor supporting the Department of Defense. This position is onsite at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), Washington, DC with additional work locations in College Park, MD and Reston, VA . This is a contract opportunity supporting a national leader in enterprise cybersecurity and data protection for federal programs.

The Trellix Endpoint DLP Engineer will design, deploy, and operationalize enterprise endpoint data protection controls, serving as the technical owner for Trellix EDR/DLP components. This role ensures sensitive data is identified, monitored, and protected across the enterprise while integrating with broader security platforms.

Responsibilities of the Trellix Endpoint Engineer include:

· Design, deploy, and manage Trellix Endpoint DLP policies and agent-based controls

· Configure, tune, and maintain Trellix ePO and associated modules for optimal performance

· Integrate DLP solutions with SIEM, SOAR, CASB, CMDB, and identity security platforms

· Analyze DLP telemetry and incidents to identify data exfiltration patterns and reduce false positives

· Develop engineering playbooks, SOPs, and runbooks for policy lifecycle management

· Conduct root-cause analysis for policy misfires, workflow issues, and endpoint inventory gaps

· Collaborate with legal, compliance, and governance teams to define rulesets and exception workflows

Qualifications for the Trellix Endpoint Engineer include:

· 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, data protection, or endpoint security

· 2+ years of experience with Trellix Endpoint DLP, Trellix ePO, and Windows/Linux endpoint management

· Experience integrating security tools across SIEM, SOAR, and identity platforms

· Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and workflow optimization

· Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph

· DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP)

· Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 30 days of start

· Associate's degree with 5+ years, Bachelor's with 3+ years, or Master's with 1+ years of IT experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree)

Compensation for the Trellix Endpoint Engineer includes:

· Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
