Description
SAIC is seeking a Solution Architect located in Hawaii at the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) to support USINDOPACOM to provide technical leadership for the implementation, integration, and sustainment of the Joint Simulation and Training Command and Control (JSTC2) system, designed to enable efficiencies and enhance the performance of the Exercise Control Group (ECG), a key component in military training exercises.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Lead the design, development, and refinement of JSTC2 system architecture, ensuring functionality aligns with operational requirements of an Exercise Control Group (ECG).
• Define and implement integration strategies for JSTC2 and related systems to support seamless interoperability across training exercises.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure system performance meets mission-critical standards.
• Provide technical expertise and direction to development teams, system engineers, and key stakeholders to achieve efficient, high-performing solutions.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for JSTC2 capabilities, delivering guidance on best practices to enhance system reliability and usability.
• Coordinate closely with USINDOPACOM leadership, Exercise Control Group personnel, and system users to gather requirements and provide tailored solutions that address specific training goals.
• Facilitate discussions with external vendors, partners, and other system architects to ensure alignment with broader USINDOPACOM exercise objectives.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to validate JSTC2 system enhancements, ensuring compliance with military training standards and exercise needs.
• Oversee the deployment of system updates and ensure change management processes are effectively followed.
• Analyze and prioritize system improvement opportunities by assessing user feedback, identifying inefficiencies, and delivering innovative solutions to enhance training operations.
• Develop roadmaps for future JSTC2 upgrades in response to emerging technology trends, operational feedback, and exercise findings.
• Provide technical training and mentoring sessions for JSTC2 end-users and exercise staff.
• Develop clear and concise documentation for system configuration, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's and nine (9)+ years related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Experience in software system design, systems architecture, and/or technical leadership in military training or exercise-related environments.
• Experience with command-and-control (C2) or simulation-based systems used in military training contexts.
• Deep understanding of technical frameworks, systems integration, and scalable architecture design for distributed environments.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing complex software systems.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
• Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
• Must be a current US Citizen.
