Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Ability to supervise individuals who perform transportation work in support of the organization's fleet management program, maintenance program and operations. 2) Ability to prepare reports and brief the Chain of Command on priority issues pertaining to Transportation functions. 3) Ability to demonstrate experience and training both in theoretical and applied transportation operation and applied transportation operation, maintenance and management. 4) Ability to develop long range plans for the Transportation Division, which includes projected fluctuation in maintenance and operation workload, budget requirements, normal and surge mission requirements, manpower requirements and constraints, equipment availability/condition and availability and capability of contractor resources in the private sector. 5) Ability to direct and ensure compliance of federal and state environmental laws and regulations that are applicable to the operations of the Transportation Division. 6) Knowledge of various operating systems, including Maximo and ability to assess Transportation operational requirements.

The incumbent is on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as situations demand.

- You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- You will give advice, counsel, and/or instruction to employees on both work performance and administration matters.

- You will act as a liaison for the Public Works Officer, Transportation Product Line Director with regards to planning and execution of various transportation functions with the DOD and Federal agencies.
- You will conduct studies to determine Transportation requirements as it may relate to these individuals and Commands and serve as a member of top advisory boards/committees.
- You will direct and ensure compliance of federal and state environmental laws and regulations that are applicable to the operations of the Transportation Division.
