Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a Principal Biotechnology Analyst (SME) to provide high-level technical, scientific, and programmatic expertise to the Enabling Biotechnologies (EB) office within the JPEO-CBRND, supporting efforts that accelerate medical countermeasure (MCM) development and deployment. In this key role you will provide biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, regulatory science, and interagency coordination to address known, emerging, and engineered CBRN threats. You will play a key role in enabling EB's mission to drive rapid, efficient progress from "Information to Injection."

Position Summary

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide technical subject matter expertise to EB and DBPAO programs and initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and support technology and information exchange across interagency partners to advance acquisition objectives.
- Develop and implement a standardized data entry system for tracking clinical trial participant information, ensuring regulatory compliance and record accuracy.
- Coordinate information and material exchange supporting cooperative advanced development activities.
- Prepare inputs to plans, reports, and documentation that enable cooperative and follow-on technology opportunities.
- Track, manage, and ensure completion of tasks, milestones, and program activities.
- Support strategic communications, including development of program briefs and technical communication materials.
- Conduct program analysis to assess technical progress, risks, gaps, and opportunities.
- Provide quality management support for advanced development and manufacturing activities.
- Assist with acquisition planning, execution, and integration of technical inputs.
- Support tabletop exercises, demonstrations, workshops, and directorate experimentation activities.
- Facilitate collaborative engagement across EB, JPEO-CBRND, and interagency partners.
- Maintain awareness of emerging biotechnology, synthetic biology, and CBRN threat trends.
- Analyze results of collaborative engagements and incorporate findings into actionable program recommendations.
- Support continual process improvement for EB/DBPAO program integration and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Active Security Clearance
- Education: Ph.D. in the Biological Sciences.
- Experience: Ten (10) or more years supporting CBRN-related programs.
- Direct experience providing subject matter expertise to DBPAO and EB.
- Experience applying technical expertise to develop communications products such as program-level briefs.
- Experience with biological detection systems and DBPAO assays.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate interagency information and material exchange.
- Experience with clinical trial data systems or data tracking processes preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical issues and programmatic risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, track progress, and ensure timely completion.
