Under general supervision and with detailed instructions for new tasks or special assignments, the Assembler III is responsible for performing a variety of repetitive or standard electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This role involves determining and following methods and sequences of operations for assembly tasks, such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. The assembler may also monitor and verify quality in accordance with established control procedures.

Job Qualifications
Under general supervision and with detailed instructions for new tasks or special assignments, the Assembler III is responsible for performing a variety of repetitive or standard electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. This role involves determining and following methods and sequences of operations for assembly tasks, such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. The assembler may also monitor and verify quality in accordance with established control procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble components, assemblies, or subassemblies.
- Perform setups and adjustments while holding tolerances to specifications.
- Carry out tasks related to the assembly of electronic equipment, including cables, harnesses, chassis, and printed circuit boards, or mechanical assembly of panels, LRUs (Line Replaceable Units), batteries, and servo motors.
- Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies or subassemblies as needed.
- Observe all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
- Work safely and adhere to established operating procedures and practices.
- Assist in training lower-level assemblers as needed.
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks.
- Carry out other duties as assigned or required.
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three or more years of relevant experience.
- The ideal candidate must be customer-focused and possess:
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire lists.
- A good understanding of the general aspects of the job, with limited technical comprehension.
- Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the position.
- Familiarity with soldering and compression connection tools.
- Good visual perception and the ability to distinguish between colors.
- The ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
- The ability and willingness to become certified to use a Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) system.
- The ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, as is the flexibility to work extended hours when required.
