B.E.A.T. LLC is seeking a Data Warehouse Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS) team. DOEHRS is a web-based application that supports the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of occupational and environmental factors arising in or from the workplace that may result in injury, illness, impairment, or affect the well-being of workers and members of the DoD community. DOEHRS is a mission critical application directly supporting the wellbeing of military and civilian workers.
Responsibilities:
Designs, implements, and supports data warehousing. Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies. Defines user interfaces and functional specifications. Responsible for verifying accuracy of data and maintaining and supporting the data warehouse. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures with DOEHRS. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Test software systems or applications for software enhancements or new products.
Review designs, codes, test plans, or documentation to ensure quality.
Provide or coordinate troubleshooting support for data warehouses.
Prepare functional or technical documentation for data warehouses.
Write new programs or modify existing programs to meet customer requirements, using current programming languages and technologies.
Verify the structure, accuracy, or quality of warehouse data.
Select methods, techniques, or criteria for data warehousing evaluative procedures
Perform system analysis, data analysis or programming, using a variety of computer languages and procedures.
Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts.
