As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-12, you will direct and manage subordinate functional areas and to serve as a technical expert over these functional areas. Effective management of the Deployment and Distribution Flight which is comprised of a Plans and Integration Section; Small Air Terminal Section; and Distribution Section.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Experience performing strategic planning, setting policy, and developing guidelines that have application across organizational lines within the wing (and supported remote locations) and which serve to ensure a program that fosters adequate health, welfare, morale, training, and mission readiness of assigned personnel, while meeting operational demands in an agile combat support environment. Experience being responsible for the centralized command and control, planning, and execution of all wing deployment operations and the distribution of cargo and passengers. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

This position is an indefinite appointment that may be made permanent later without competition. Employees hired under indefinite appointments may not exceed 5 years (consecutive) time with the agency. If a permanent employee accepts this indefinite position, their tenure will change from permanent to indefinite.
