Component Strategic Planner
Key Role:
Support the Space Component Command by translating strategic guidance from the Commanding General, SPACEFOREUR-AF, the United States Space Force ( USSF ) , and two Combatant Commands, USEUCOM and USAFRICOM, into an actionable 5-year-plan. Assist in the development and refinement of the command's internal strategy, ensuring alignment with USSF priorities and the operational requirements of USEUCOM and USAFRICOM. Develop, lead, and manage multiple detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements, including synchronizing Programming Plans ( PPLANs ) , Plan of Action and Milestones ( PoAMs ) , and Component Support Plans, to the command's long-term strategy and achievement of Full Operational Capability ( FOC ) . Integrate budget planning and resource allocation to ensure initiatives are properly funded and executed, providing comprehensive insight into finan cia l and operational requirements in support of mission success.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in space operations, project management, or strategic planning
- Experience in the Joint Operation Planning Process ( JOPP ) or Military Decision-Making Process ( MDMP )
- Knowledge of national security strategy and joint military doctrine
- Ability to develop and analyze strategic, operational, and campaign plans
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in the CCMD area of operations
- Experience with Micro sof t Office suite and military-specific planning sof tware such as JOPES
- Knowledge of Military Design and Planning
- Ability to present and advocate effectively component command equities at planning conferences and operational planning teams
- Possession of excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Master's degree in Military Science or International Affairs
- Project Management Professional ( PMP ) Certification
- Joint Planner Certification
- Graduate of a Service or Joint Intermediate or Senior level Professional Military Education
