Advantech is seeking a Program Specialist I to provide Learning Management System (LMS) administration and technical support for enterprise training platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on LMS experience, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer support to learners, instructors, and administrators. This role supports ongoing program objectives by managing LMS functionality, developing training content, generating reporting metrics, and ensuring seamless system performance.

Responsibilities
LMS Administration & Management

Administer, manage, and maintain Learning Management Systems (Preferred: Waypoints, Moodle, Atlas Pro).

Perform user account management including creating, updating, and troubleshooting accounts.

Manage course and content libraries: uploading, organizing, and maintaining training modules, curriculum, and learning materials.

Provide end-user training and responsive customer support for LMS users.

Monitor LMS performance and coordinate resolution for system and user-related issues.

Content Development & eLearning Support

Create, update, and deploy learning modules using eLearning authoring tools (e.g., MELD, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline).

Utilize distance learning technologies (e.g., streaming video, point-to-point systems) to support training delivery.

Curate course catalogs and help refine learning pathways for internal program requirements.

Reporting, Analytics & Documentation

Generate and interpret reports, dashboards, and learning analytics in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.

Track learner participation, training outcomes, and compliance requirements.

Perform fit/gap analyses comparing LMS functionality against program requirements.

Develop and maintain LMS documentation, help guides, and governance-related materials.

Technical Support & Problem Resolution

Troubleshoot LMS issues and provide technical support to instructors, administrators, and learners.

Apply strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose system or content-related issues.

Assist with platform integrations, file conversions, and data uploads.

Ensure consistent adherence to standardized LMS operational processes and governance models.

Required Experience

2+ years of demonstrated experience administering or supporting an LMS, preferably Waypoints, Moodle, or Atlas Pro.

Experience with:

User Account Management

Course/Content Management

End-user training and customer support

eLearning authoring tools (MELD, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, etc.)

Distance learning technologies

Proficiency with Microsoft 365: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred experience with SharePoint, Power Platform, Lists, or workflows.

Required Abilities

Ability to perform fit/gap analysis on system capabilities vs. program requirements.

Ability to generate, interpret, and present training metrics using Excel or Power BI.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with diverse teams and non-technical users.

Ability to support end users with a proactive, positive, and customer-focused approach.

Ability to stay current with LMS advancements and online learning trends.

Ability to learn quickly and follow technical documentation, user guides, and SOPs.

Ability to follow structured governance processes for LMS operations.

Required Knowledge

Subject-matter expertise in LMS administration (Waypoints, Moodle, or Atlas Pro preferred).

Understanding of instructional design principles and methodologies.

Knowledge of data reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI.

Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, AICC standards and how they interact with Learning Record Stores (LRS).

Familiarity with common data formats and LMS content integration workflows.

Understanding of cloud-hosted LMS platforms (AWS, Azure) and system integrations.

Security Clearance Requirements

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
