THE WORK

Program Quality Engineer Stf (QPM) at the Lockheed Martin Manassas (RMS) facility with oversight of the Sonobuoy Program, a high volume production program. The Quality Program Team (QPT) is led by the QPM and consists of Product Quality, Software Quality and Supplier Quality. The QPM will lead proposal efforts and basis of estimates (BOEs), audits, compliance over the contract, and interact with the end customer to ensure that their expectations are met through contractual requirements being upheld and internal/external processes being followed. In addition, the key responsibilities will also include:
- Overall responsibility for implementation of the quality management system on all programs supported
- Perform contract review to identify contract quality requirements and generating and ensuring implementation of a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
- Partner with Program Management and the integrated program team to provide proactive issue identification, causal analysis, mitigation, and preventive actions.
- Work closely with program team to continually assess program performance indicators and execute applicable actions and plans
- Identify risks and proactively work with the program team to document risks and help to develop and ensure mitigation plans are in place and being tracked.
- Represent the RMS Quality functional organization at program reviews, program staff meetings, etc.
- Establish and maintain Quality metrics that are utilized by the program team to monitor performance.
- Continually evaluate health of program through independent structured assessment of program performance. Identify recurring issues, drive root cause analysis, and corrective actions as required.
- Communicate and escalate quality issues to the program team, functional / program managers and business leaders as necessary for timely resolution.
- Ensure realistic QA budgets and staffing are established for the Quality Program Team and cost commitments are met.
- Plan and oversee program audits

Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 or similar industry QMS standards
- Experience working within production environments within Quality or Manufacturing/Operations type roles.
- Excellent communication skills to lead the Quality team on the program through various internal and external meetings.
- Must be able to obtain a US DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
- AS9100 and ISO9001 audit experience
- Ability to perform process audits
- Experience with Solumina, SAP, or similar MES system
- Experienced Quality professional within production environments, preferably high volume.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
