Description:We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to serve as the technical lead for the Aeronautics Technical Assessment Review (ATAR) / Independent Technical Review (ITR) process for technical proposals that require integration and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the technical evaluation of proposals, ensuring that they meet the requirements and timeline of the ATAR/ITR process. This role requires strong systems engineering skills, an understanding of the air system and the technical plans and documents that define the technical solution, exposure to the proposal process, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on subsystem and/or air system development and integration.

Experience with the ATAR process, or similar technical assessment and evaluation processes.

Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, system design, and integration.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical proposals and identify potential risks and opportunities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Desired Skills:
Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as a Master's Systems Engineering.

Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering tools and techniques.

Experience with the Technical Planning process and/or understanding of the Technical Planning artifacts.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as those developed by the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).

Experience or familiarity with proposal development and evaluation, including the development of technical proposals and the evaluation of proposals against technical requirements and standards.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Situational telecommuting is permitted with manager approval.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
