Our client a prominent general contractor specializing in retrofitting cutting-edge data centers across United States and Canada, is currently seeking a Construction Manager.
We are dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art infrastructure and services to meet the ever-evolving demands of our clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a focus on data center retrofits to join our team in the United States.
The Construction Manager is a full-time leadership position for the Delivery organization. The Construction Manager may manage specific projects on his/her own but is also responsible for ensuring that the company’s portfolio of projects is coordinated and delivered with high quality, on time, and under budget. The ideal candidate will have a mastery of communication, organization, and service skills.
Travel: Across United States & Canada is required approximately 70% of the time. The candidate will be expected to spend a majority of his or her time at the customer sites managing construction projects and developing relationships with the local customer teams.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination
Manage all phases of construction projects from planning to close-out. Coordinate resources, schedules, safety plans, permits, and documentation. Lead meetings and ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
2. Project Communication
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients. Provide daily updates and participate in key meetings to ensure alignment and transparency.
3. Project Finances
Support budgeting and cost estimation. Track expenses, manage purchase orders, and ensure accurate billing and timely payments for all stakeholders.
4. Subcontractor Relations
Identify, onboard, and manage subcontractors. Define scopes of work, lead bidding processes, and ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards.
5. Procurement
Coordinate procurement and logistics of materials and equipment. Ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing for each project site.
6. Construction Standards and Process
Champion company processes and quality standards. Supervise field teams, perform quality control, and implement continuous improvements.
7. Training and Technical Oversight
Ensure subcontractors understand technical solutions and company expectations. Meet personal training goals and support knowledge sharing.
8. General Duties
Understand and apply our mission and core solutions. Travel extensively to support projects and collaborate with other managers as needed.
Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of construction management experience.
• Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with project management tools.
• Use of basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wire strippers/cutters, drills, etc.).
• Use of specialized power tools (saws, nibblers, impact drivers, etc.).
• Experience running control wire following best practices for dressing wire, stripping and landing wire ends, choosing and using proper conduit, fittings, grommets, etc.
• Use of electrical meter to verify conductivity and measure voltage, current, power, power factor, etc.
• Able to use a computer to configure fans, VFDs, etc;
Preferred:
• Data Center specific certifications (DCEP, CDCP, etc;)
• PMP or equivalent certification
• HVAC and Mechanical experience a plus
