Duties

As a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT), GS-2210-11, you will:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures to isolate source of problems
  • Assist in solving problems associated with delivery of hardware and software orders
  • Provide customer technical assistance and support for all users
  • Identify and document system requirements for specific needs of customers
  • Manage system user accounts, reset system passwords, and resolve firewall issues
  • Work with technical support personnel in resolving problems

FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS :
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
SECURITY CLEARANCE : Selectee has one (1) year of employment to obtain an Active Secret Security Clearance.

NOTE : Selectee must obtain the CompTia Security+ Certification within one (1) year of employment in accordance with DOD INSTRUCTION 8570.01-M.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Must have the following experiences:
  • Data processing functions
  • Applying general management principles
  • Automating work processes
  • Using computers
  • Operating computer programs and systems
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have 36 months of the following experiences:
  • Applying computer application techniques
  • Planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish an assignment
  • Coordinating with others outside the organizational unit
  • Developing project controls
  • Adapting guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment
  • Preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies
  • Summarizing and organizing material and organizing
