Duties

  • You will serve as a primary advisor and SME, making process and program compliance recommendations to the Warehousing Director.
  • You will manage, coordinate and control material inventory and systems of inventory management and its audit processes in support of current and future supply customer needs.
  • You will oversee the management of inventory which requires a structured, persistent inventory cycle, process controls, and internal compliance audits.
  • You will review procedures in all areas of inventory accuracy, including receipt processing, requisition processing, and physical inventory functions.
  • You will participate in formal and informal meetings and briefings that present study results and recommendations to management officials.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: validating physical inventory discrepancies of materials; coordinating material inventory for audit purposes; identifying and correcting inventory; and reviewing procedures for inventory accuracy.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

LL.M., if related

This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
