You will develop and tune SQL queries, optimize database structures, implement design changes, and ensure reliable operations that directly support national-level objectives.
What You'll Do
As a SQL Database Administrator, you will:
- Serve as the primary Application DBA supporting SQL database operations
- Develop and optimize SQL reporting queries for mission applications
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide root-cause analysis
- Perform database and SQL statement performance tuning
- Review and implement database design changes to meet system requirements
- Write and maintain SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
- Support deployment activities and ensure reliable database performance
- Collaborate with engineering, application, and security teams in a fast-paced environment
- Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
- Required in office Tuesday-Thursday (3 days/week)
- Weekend or flexible hours may be required based on mission needs
- U.S. Citizenship required
- DoD Secret Clearance
- Minimum 3-5 years experience writing and tuning SQL queries
- Minimum 3-5 years experience designing and implementing database structures
- Minimum 3-5 years SQL coding/scripting experience
- Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language) fundamentals and best practices
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Colorado Springs, CO
Preferred Qualifications
- 0-2+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience supporting large-scale federal IT programs
- Familiarity with the SAFe Agile delivery framework
- Contribute to secure, high-impact database operations for federal missions
